The Joshua Redman Quartet

Saxophonist Joshua Redman returns to the Festival, this time with his groundbreaking quartet. Universally acclaimed with audiences and critics, Josh is “one of the most effusive and engaging” jazz artists working today (New York Times) - hear how he is reshaping the future of jazz.

Joshua Redman Quartet

Joshua Redman is one of the most acclaimed and charismatic jazz artists to have emerged in the decade of the 1990s. In addition to his own projects, Redman has recorded and performed with musicians such as Dave Brubeck, Chick Corea, The Dave Matthews Band, Herbie Hancock, Milt Jackson, Quincy Jones, Big Daddy Kane, B.B. King, The Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, DJ Logic, Yo Yo Ma, Branford Marsalis, Leon Parker, Dewey Redman, The Rolling Stones, The Roots, John Scofield, Soulive, String Cheese Incident, Toots Thielemans, The Trondheim Jazz Orchestra, McCoy Tyner, Umphrey's McGee, US3, Bugge Wesseltoft, Cedar Walton, and Stevie Wonder. Joshua Redman has been nominated for 3 Grammys and has garnered top honors in critics and readers polls of DownBeat, Jazz Times, The Village Voice and Rolling Stone. He wrote and performed the music for Louis Malle's final film Vanya on 42nd Street, and is both seen and heard in the Robert Altman film Kansas City.
